Keeping the beat is like marching with even and steady steps... together. That's what South Side kids are striving to do these days. And having a great time while at it! Classes have been great kids!! Keep up the good work. I have a lot of hopes for a marvelously musical school year!
I am looking forward to the holidays with all the excitement, joy and sweetness that it brings. With carols in my heart, the coolness of December, beautiful lights, laughter and joy all around, I especially enjoy the sparkle of hope I see in each child. We are looking forward to great times ahead. Our Holiday Sing will take place on Friday, December 21st from 8:30-9:30. Come and join the fun....and sing along!
We at South Side are getting very excited about our up coming performance on October 30th. Practices have been great. We have just a few left. Monday Kindergarten, 3rd and 4th grade will practice, and on Friday, 1st and 2nd. We will have a walk through of the whole program on Friday and our final rehearsal on Tuesday. Children, be sure to practice and get those lyrics down!! It's almost show time!!
I thought I would write a little something about our plans for Tuesday, October 30, 2012. Joining the South Side family, I learned that the Halloween Parade is a loved tradition; to come together, enjoy fun costumes and sing! This is a whole school event for all students. Come and join the fun! It starts at 6:30 PM. Each grade level will do their own feature song...something especially by them! And at the end, all will join together to perform 3 additional pieces. Parents, please be sure to have your child in costume, ready and raring to go, at 6:15 sharp in the cafeteria!! Thanks!! |
AuthorI have been involved with Music for as early as I can remember. My parents supported and inspired us in this area by offering praise and encouragement as they invested in instruments, lessons, and their time! Thanks Mom and Dad! Archives
